Remote programming is about the buttons
This service pairs a remote's lock, unlock, panic and, where equipped, trunk buttons to your vehicle. It is for a separate remote, or the buttons on a key, that have stopped working or were bought as a replacement. Pairing a remote does not by itself let a key start the car; starting authorization is a separate immobilizer step covered under key fob programming or transponder keys.
Check the battery and the part first
A remote that stopped working often has a dead coin cell or worn button contacts rather than a lost pairing. If you bought a remote online, the part number, FCC ID and frequency need to match your vehicle. I check both before programming so you don't pay for a step that won't help.
When a remote can't be paired
Some vehicles need every remote present during pairing, some need dealer equipment, and some online remotes are simply the wrong part. Remote start works only on vehicles with factory remote start and a compatible remote. If pairing isn't possible for your vehicle, I tell you before charging for programming.
